FAQs

  • Psychotherapy and coaching are $200 per session. We do not work with insurance companies, but we offer a sliding scale when there is need.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is $200 per hour, and each journey is 3 hours long: one hour preparation, one hour journey and one hour integration. To ensure optimal therapeutic results, preparation and integration sessions are required before and after each KAP session.

  • We do not accept insurance — we offer Super Bills, as well as a sliding scale rates.

  • “Artist” is a broad term — some people’s artistry manifests through acrylics on canvas, words on a page or acting on stage. Others show their artistry simply by how they live their lives — with a creativity and passion. We love and work with all creative types.

  • Because it’s what we know (and who we know).

Being an artist, especially one who makes a living from their craft, is one of the most challenging career paths one can take. Financial insecurity, creative pressure, performance anxiety, emotional vulnerability, uncertain career trajectory, and balancing that vexing art versus commerce paradigm — one or all of these can wreak havoc on one’s mental health. That’s where we come in — with evidence-based science, with shared experience, with support, with warmth and with an informed confidence (because we too have walked in your shoes).

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a therapeutic approach that combines the administration of Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, with psychotherapy. It is used to treat various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Anecdotally, people often claim that Ketamine can also increase levels of joy, productivity, and creativity.

Ketamine affects neurotransmitters in the brain, particularly glutamate, which plays a role in mood regulation. It induces altered states of consciousness that can facilitate deep emotional processing and self-reflection during therapy sessions.

  • No. But the decades of research on its efficacy for depression, anxiety, PTSD and substance use disorders in many populations is compelling, to say the least. Check it out for yourself: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30917760/

  • Absolutely. Our hybrid psychotherapeutic approach, Artist Resilience Therapy, is a stand-alone talk therapy utilizing elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness and more. We are rooted in traditional psychotherapy, and in awe of how profound its results can be.

  • The research on the efficacy of both MDMA and psilocybin is extremely encouraging. When laws permit, ArtistServices will include these interventions in our services offered.
